Total Defence :)
Question for the day, What would I like to defend? I would like to defend my family and friends, So that I will not lose them in any cases. My family and friends are important to me, as they provide a comfortable,pleasant environment for me to live in. In times of need, I look to them, In times of sorrow, I look to them.True family and friends are people who will stay by your side no matter what. Treasure them before their gone..Talking about Total Defence, There are 5 main headers in this topic. They are: Military, Civil, Economic, Social and Psychological defence.
MILITARY Defence
Thanks to our soldiers in NS, Singapore is a safe country to live in.Singapore soldiers protect us against terrorists, hijackings and others.
CIVIL Defence
Civil Defence is about taking care of our loved ones and people that are around us in times of crisis. The Civil Defence force volounteers in rescues, evacuation procedures and first aid. They give us drills, helping us to be prepared when in crisis.
ECONOMIC Defence
We have to constantly upgrade our skills, in order to keep up with the moving society. As well as, to be able to keep our jobs. We will not break down so easily when our economic foundation is strong. In order to do this, we have to cut down our use on electricity, water and others.
SOCIAL Defence
Singapore is a multi-racial and religious society. This ensures peace and harmony within everyone, despite of our different races, religions. We have to be sensative to others, so that we will not offend them in any ways. Lastly,
PSYCHOLOGICAL Defence
I am PROUD to be a Singaporean, and everybody should be. We must stand up strong and defend what is ours, to ensure independance as one nation!
