S'pore Educational System
I agree partially with the article. Singapore has a very stressful and complicated educationalsystem. When it comes to exams, paper works and others, Singapore is usually in the lead.
Singaporeans lead a "No Study, No play" kind of attitude. Though our educational system causes
a lot of stress to parents, students, teachers and others, at least it helps us to win competitions.
Unlike other countries, Singaporeans don't have much imaginative thoughts, hence, most of our
great inventors did not come from Singapore, but from other countries whose educational
system is different from us.
I think Singaporeans are trained to be "Exam Smart". Hence, we're winning in all these kind of
competitions. But, i still feel that our educational system is very stressful. Stressed with all the
homework, assesments, exams and other forms of paper stuff. I like the educational system, as
we can make Singapore known to all those BIG countries, who consider us as a Little Red Dot.
Maybe more outside activities, would help Singaporeans to learn more. Appreciating Mother
Nature, increasing IQ by learning more about experiments and stuff.
Even though people are criticizing us about our Educational System, I feel that their just being
naive. Cause, despite the criticism by them, they still try to follow our educational system. I
think that other countries might also want their students to do well in competitions as well as
those hands- on experiments.
